LYSACHUK Taras (10.06.1978, village Basivka, Pustomyty district, Lviv region) – zoologist, ornithologist.

During the years 1984-1995 he studied at the school Godovytsya, in 1995-2000 – at the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Biology, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Immediately after graduation he worked as an engineer at the Botanical Gardens. At the beginning of 2001 – the engineer of the population ecology at the Institute of Ecology of the Carpathians National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. From 2010 to 2012 – Head of the Eco-hydrobiological Laboratory of Shatsk Station of Biologycal-Geography of Lviv University. In early 2012, he was invited as an engineer on aviation ornithology in the State Enterprise "International airport "Lviv" named of Danylo Galytskyy", where he works to this day.

Research interests: ornithology, ethology of birds, aviation ornithology, ecology hollow-nesting birds.

He has published over 20 scientific articles and abstracts in particular: Preliminary data on autumn migration of Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola) in Western Ukraine (The Ring, 1998, with co-authors); The current state of the avifauna Cholgynskyy reserve and surrounding areas (Nature Reserves in Ukraine, 1998, with co-authors); Breeding avifauna Upper-Dniester Plain lowlands and its changes during the second half of the twentieth century (Scientific Notes SNM, 1998, with co-authors); Status Golden eagle Aquila chrysaetos in the Eastern Beskids and Chornohora (Ukrainian Carpathians Biodiversity: Proceedings of the scientific conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Carpathian alpine biodiversity hospital Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Lviv, 2005, with co-authors)); Causes of death of birds of prey in Ukraine (Bulletin of Lviv University.
